Malikkah Rollins is an independent documentary producer and doc community builder based in Washington, DC.  Malikkah was a 2019 Docs in Progress Fellow. She was a line/creative producer  on Catalyst, Tell Me About Orange (currently on the festival circuit), Unruly Chinese Women (in production), and a location producer on  “Loudmouth”, a documentary in production about the Rev. Al Sharpton.  She uses her background in mental health to co-create Documentality, a new initiative designed to elevate the conversation around mental health in the documentary community. She was recently a mental health consultant with a POV hosted project for women/LBGTQ first time directors. Her next project is exploring the arc of womanhood from hypersexualization of tweens to the desexualization of aging women. Malikkah is on the board of Women in Film and Video (DC), is a Sundance Collab Community Leader,  and an active member of Brown Girl Doc Mafia. Malikkah was also in the narrative directive residency program at the Maine Media Workshops.
