Ryan is a documentary filmmaker and editor who lives in Montreal, Quebec. He is the co-director of the award-winning feature documentary The Frog Princes. His directorial feature Chameleon (HBO Canada) won the Emerging Filmmaker award at Hot Docs. Since then, he has worked as editor on I Am the Blues (CBC Documentary Channel), A Cambodian Spring and River Silence (NFB/TVO). In 2019 he edited two Sundance Film Festival documentaries: Influence (ARTE) and Softie (BBC Storyville/POV), the latter of which won the documentary editing award. He recently completed work on Speed of Thought, a documentary in partnership with Verizon about the future of cellular technology.
