Sharon Grimberg

Sharon Grimberg is an Emmy-winning filmmaker with twenty-five years of experience of writing, directing, producing, and executive producing for public television. For fifteen years she was the senior producer of American Experience, where she developed and oversaw the production of more than 130 films. Together they garnered every industry award, including Peabodys, Oscar nominations, and Primetime Emmys. Among other projects, Grimberg was the executive producer of The Abolitionists, and of the multi-platform mini-series We Shall Remain, which retold US history from a Native perspective. According to The Washington Post, the project “shifted the focus and the weight of history.” Other films include, The Busing Battleground, McCarthy, and The Circus, which was on The Wall Street Journal’s list of the best eight television programs of 2018.
